JANUARY 28, 2026 - prompt 02: Something that I love.
Something that I love... That one's a difficult one because I love everything, I find love and joy in everything I see. That being said, I guess I'll just list the ones that come to mind. I love my family. I love the smile on my mom's face when we share a joke, the feeling of warmth that spreads through my chest when I see her happy. I love the feeling of her hugs, and when I lay my head in her lap. I love the late night conversations with her, the car rides to dairy queen where we sit in the parking lot and talk about whatever we feel like that day. I love the memories that seem small, they stick with me most. I love the face she makes when she sees something cool, and the excitement when she points something out to me. I love seeing the joy on her face when she talks about a cool video she sees or a dog on facebook that made her laugh. I love how she cares, how she lectures me although it's frustrating in the moment, it always ends up being beneficial. I love the texture of her hair when she lets me pat her head, which I sometimes wish I could do more.
I love Sadie, my best friend. She's got four legs but the brain of a human. I love the feeling of her fur and the way she knows what comfort I need at specific times. I love that she's respectful, that she tries to avoid ruining my art projects but still shows interest. I love how she stops walking down the stairs when I stop walking, how she waits for me to start walking again, or how she waits for us to go down before she does so she won't knock us over. I love how she loves the smell of flowers and how she rolls around in the grass when she's happy. I love how she checks on me every five minutes to make sure I'm alright even when I'm already in her direct line of sight. I love the little tantrums she has where she just huffs and puffs. I love how she communicates exactly what she wants despite not talking.
Feeling:
Proud of my progress.
